Sundance is coming to London

Following the success of its expansion in American cities and several territories around the world, Sundance Institute is joining forces with AEG Europe to launch a Sundance London, a four-day, multi-disciplinary arts festival to be held at AEG’s O2 venue. The festival will be inaugurated in April 26-19, 2012.
Like Park City Sundance Festival, Sundance London will screen the 2012 festival’s movie selections and offer discussions, panels and other events. In addition, AEG will contribute a music component to the festival, featuring live performances by US artists.
Sundance Institute was founded by Robert Redford in 1981. It owns and runs the Sundance Film Festival, which runs is held every January in Park City, Utah. It has become the largest and most important festival for independent cinema, giving the big break for many film makers, including Kevin Smith, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Steve James, Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Soderbergh, Darren Aronofsky, James Wan, Edward Burns and Jim Jarmusch.
