Fashionably late and elegantly dressed, Victoria Beckham, arrived last night to the
British Consulate in LA to attend the GREAT British Film reception honouring this year’s British Oscar nominees, where she mingled with Academy award hopefuls, including Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Kenneth Branagh (My Week With Marilyn).
Having just returned from New York, where she unveiled her latest designs at the Fashion week, the 36-year-old told me that she was eager to dress the Oscar-winning Scottish Actress, Tilda Swinton. “I love Tilda Swinton. She is beautiful and she is my favourite actress,” she enthused.
The ex-spice girl turned fashion designer has dressed many celebrities, including Madonna, Michelle Williams and Sandra Bullock.
But in spite of being surrounded by Hollywood’s glamorous actresses, the mother-of-four is not tempted to become one.
“I am not interested in acting and I can’t act,” the soft-spoken celebrity laughed.
Victoria Beckham’s husband, David, was unable to attend the star-studded party because of football commitments.
